Under the direction of the Sports and Teen Director oversees participants and teen summer camp programs at the Pav YMCA. Create weekly activities for campers, along with purchasing supplies for activities. Must be 21 years of age or older.






  • Plan the daily activities for each week of camp
  • Create a bi-monthly newsletter to promote the activities of the teen campers
  • Obtain all needed materials for daily activities
  • Lead the staff/campers on ALL scheduled field trips outside of the building
  • Assist in supervising the Counselor in Training participants by running leadership meetings
  • Communicate with other camp supervisors to assure all schedules co-exist with the usage of our facility and any other matter during the summer weekly activities
  • Supervise a group of children (age range 11-16 years of age)
  • Communicate relevant information to and from parents and supervisor, including behavior incidents
  • Be engaged with children at all times
  • Learn and know your campers’ names, health history and any other information that may be useful knowledge while caring for them
  • Create and ensure safe and welcoming environment
  • Ability to enforce policies, problem solve and handle emergency situations
  • Ability to assist and communicate with all populations of people regardless of race, age, and special needs
  • Demonstrate the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility
  • Attend trainings when appropriate
  • Support YMCA special events, signature events, and campaigns
  • Perform all tasks to the best of your ability and with a positive attitude
  • Other duties assigned by the Sports and Teen Director, Senior Program Director and/or Executive Director
